Hi, I’m Sarah — Founder of Voice For Fur 🐾

Long before I designed my first t-shirt, my hands were covered in paw prints, bandages, and dog hair.

Growing up, there was always room on our living room rug for one more wandering soul. Raised around shelter animals and a country veterinary practice, compassion became part of my life long before I understood what the word meant.

A Childhood Built on Compassion

Long before I learned to read, I absorbed a fundamental truth: compassion is not just a feeling—it’s a commitment.

That belief eventually led me to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician, working on the frontlines of emergency care and helping animals through some of their darkest moments.

I loved my work. But every day, I was reminded that the bravest souls often walk on four paws—and they cannot ask for help when they suffer.

The Snowy Night That Changed Everything

On a freezing December night in 2022, a tiny black kitten was brought into our clinic. He had been found trapped in a storm drain—injured, shivering, and terrified of human hands.

We named him Barnaby.

Night after night, long after my shift ended, I sat beside him on the cold clinic floor with gentle whispers and warm blankets.

On day five, Barnaby slowly pressed his forehead against my palm and let out a soft, trembling purr.

In that quiet moment, a spark ignited inside me. Barnaby became my turning point—and a symbol for millions of animals who still needed a voice.

From a Spark to a Movement

I realized that healing physical wounds was only part of the solution. We needed a way for animal lovers everywhere to show their compassion and help animals beyond the walls of one clinic.

After countless 12-hour shifts spent living in graphic tees, I decided to bring my two worlds together.

In 2024, Voice For Fur was born.
